Chrome Plated ID Tube for Hydraulic Cylinder Barrels

Model: E355、JIS STKM13C、SAE1026、SAE1020

Supplier: GOLDEN ASIA INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD.

Chrome plated ID tube is honed or SRB seamless tube with a hard chrome layer electroplated onto the bore, reaching HV850+ hardness. It keeps the same Ra ≤0.2 µm seal-grade finish and F8 tolerance as bare tube, while adding much higher corrosion and wear resistance — ideal for cylinder barrels exposed to saltwater, chemicals, or outdoor conditions.

Highlights

  • ID hard chrome layer — Significantly improves bore corrosion and wear resistance versus bare honed or SRB tube
  • HV850+ chrome layer hardness — Resists surface wear and deformation from repeated piston strokes, extending cylinder barrel service life
  • Ra ≤ 0.2 µm seal-grade bore finish — Matches standard honed/SRB tube, directly compatible with standard piston seals
  • Precision F8 ID tolerance — Maintains stable piston clearance throughout the stroke, reducing seal wear and leakage risk
  • Straightness 1–1.2mm/1000mm — Supports smooth piston motion and reduces side loading on seal lips
  • Standard ID Ø18–300mm, custom up to Ø1000mm — Standard lengths 3M–11M to cover most industrial cylinder needs
  • Steel grades available — E355、JIS STKM13C、SAE1026、SAE1020, selectable by pressure rating and regional specification
  • Built for long-term operation in harsh environments — Construction machinery, press equipment, lifting systems, and marine hydraulics with high humidity, salinity, or chemical exposure

Technical Features

  • Chrome layer as an added corrosion barrier — A hard chrome layer electroplated onto the finished honed or SRB bore creates a physical barrier against salt, chemicals, and moisture, significantly lowering the risk of corrosion-driven seal leakage and barrel failure compared to unplated tube
  • HV850+ hardness extends service life — The chrome layer's high hardness resists surface wear and deformation from repeated piston strokes, keeping bore dimensions stable and reducing seal replacement frequency
  • F8 tolerance and Ra 0.2 µm finish preserved — The plating process does not compromise the precision or surface quality of the underlying honed/SRB tube, so piston seals install directly without additional surface treatment
  • Lower long-term maintenance cost — Plating adds to initial production cost, but in saltwater, chemical, or outdoor environments it substantially reduces corrosion-driven downtime and replacement, improving total cost of ownership over the cylinder's service life
  • Flexible base steel selection — Available in E355、JIS STKM13C、SAE1026、SAE1020, selectable by pressure rating, regional specification, and budget
  • Standard and custom sizing — Standard Ø18–300mm ID and 3–11M length cover most industrial needs
